Kashan is considered as one of the most visited tourist cities in Iran, which has included many tourist attractions in the heart of the city. This city hosts thousands of foreign and domestic tourists in the spring from May to mid-June for the festival of Rose and Rosewater. This festival is one of the most ancient ceremonies in Iran that has a 1000-year ritual in its heart. What makes this ancient ritual attractive and spectacular is the traditional style of making rosewater from Mohamadi rose which is unique to the city of Kashan. The red flowers that have been planted in this area are converted into rosewater with instruments such as pot, cloth, flagon, straw and glass in a traditionally method. More than 15,000 tons of rosewater are produced annually in the region and a large portion of it is exported.
